- Cleaning products: Take a quick look at the surfaces in your car, and be sure to use products that are surface-specific so you don’t damage or stain anything. Use these products to hand clean the necessary areas.
- Wiping/Polishing materials: From terry cloth towels to fine-cloth rags, detailing work requires a number of different towels and rags. Microfiber cloth gives a great shine without scratches, but be sure all cloths are free of residual chemicals.
- Brushes: It is crucial to have different-sized brushes when cleaning your vehicle. From the air vents to the hard-to-reach places, brushes aren’t “one size fits all."
