What Is Honda Sensing?

Honda Sensing

Honda Sensing® is Honda’s way of saying that the single most important piece of cargo in your car is you and your passengers, and they want to keep you as safe as possible. It uses radar, cameras, and sensors strategically placed all over the vehicle to keep you on the straight and narrow and out of trouble.

With over ten different driver-assist safety features and now coming standard on most new Honda models (16 of them, to be exact), it’s no wonder that five Honda models took home the honors of being named a 2018 IIHS Top Safety Pick, including the 2018 Honda Pilot, 2018 Honda Odyssey, 2018 Honda Accord, 2018 Honda CR-V, and 2018 Honda Ridgeline. Houston area drivers can take a look at them in our wide selection of new Honda models for sale.

Honda Sensing® uses visual and audio alerts to let you know when it detects an imminent collision or your vehicle drifting, and if you are unable to correct it, the suite of safety features can correct it for you. Take the Lane Keeping Assist System, which will detect the lane you’re in and keep you centered if it senses you starting to drift out of the lane, or the Collision Mitigation Braking System™, which applies brake pressure when it unavoidable forward collision is determined to reduce damage and injury to you or your passengers.
